A little bit about us…
Homes 4 Yorkshire was incorporated in 2016, based on the original concept established by Lee Wood CEO.
Homes 4 Yorkshire is a Wakefield based social enterprise whose mission is to provide well paid employment opportunities for people in our communities who struggle to find skilled work, such as the long term unemployed, former offenders, armed forces personnel etc. We use the house building process as a vehicle to provide quality industry recognised training with employment for people who want to develop a career in the construction sector and to employ these people to work on Homes 4 Yorkshire building projects and on our partner’s housing developments.
It is only with the ongoing support from our growing network of partners that will we increase the level of positive impact on the number of people that are unemployed, help to address the acute skills shortages in the construction industry, improve the wealth of individuals, their families, the community and to also improve the environment.
